Description
A magnificent antique Victorian walnut chair in Carolean style. Elaborately carved in a design which takes its influence from the 17th Century, the back is ornately carved, the side rails turned and topped with finials, the upholstered seat supported on twisted and block legs with H-stretchers, with a carved front stretcher. It has been newly recovered in a self patterned yellow and cream fabric (would have originally been caned). With lots of age, old mends and splits and some old worm holes which have been treated with worm killer as a precaution.
