Description
Offered for sale is this 18th Century antique walnut longcase clock / grandfather clock. The attractive case has a long trunk door and superb marquetry inlay. The brass dial has an added arch and a painted centre containing the makers name “R Quinton of Dowton" found listed as dated 1770. It has an 8 day striking movement on a bell in working order, with brass weights, winding key and pendulum.
