The Vintage Wrist Watch Company

The watch has a 15-jewel stem-winding movement, grade 418, which is working nicely. The gilded movement is fully signed and the serial number 19,236,529 dates it back to 1913 (this grade was in production from 1903 to 1917). This is a good quality movement with screw set jewels and a Breguet hairspring for enhanced precision. The movement is protected by an inner hinged dust cover. The watch measures 48mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is the gold plated Star model from the English watch case maker, Aaron Dennison. Dennisons supplied most of the cases for Waltham UK. The case is in good condition with just light surface marks, nothing too detrimental at all. The front cover has a small central lens surrounded by enamel filled Roman numerals. The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover. There is a glass lens which is in good condition. The signed dial has one short very faint hairline by number 7 but it is difficult to see with the naked eye. Blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers. The watch comes in a new presentation box. All of our watches are checked over before listing, and are also checked for accuracy which is usually within around +/- two to three minutes over 24 hours (unless otherwise stated), which is considered respectable for a vintage watch.
