Art Deco Evans Mayfair Gold Mesh Vanity Purse Powder & Rouge Compact

On offer is this most glamorous circa 1930 Evans gold mesh vanity purse. The case measures when flat approx. 11cm in diameter and the circular top is 6.5cm in diameter. The body of the purse is made of lined gold mesh and the lid has gold tone metal machine turned pattern with chased and black enamel border and central, diamond shaped blank cartouche. The lid opens and closes securely to access the lined purse interior. Under the lid is another hinged door which opens to a covered powder well door. This powder section contains the original clean powder puff. Above this is a double-sided hinged metallic mirror which also acts as a door to the hidden rouge compartment. This has the complete original contents of pressed pink rouge impressed with the Evans logo and also retaining a replacement puff and paper insert. Offered in very good condition with no missing or dropped links, no tarnish to the gold tone metal, clean interior and reflective metal mirrors.
