A Super Arts and Crafts Oak Hall Single Wardrobe C1900 A lovely solid English oak Arts & Crafts single hall wardrobe in nice order with particularly pleasing on the eye design. Firstly the tone and grain of oak on the piece has been well selected and crafted, always a good start. The design sees a well shaped base of unusual height giving way to a bevelled mirrored door and that ornate original pressed handle which turns to open. We then turn to the perfectly shaped flat top with decorative scrolled supports at the sides and 3 little carved oak leaf motifs. Inside we have hooks for coats and the like and its last owner used it as a hall wardrobe but would be perfectly happy to sit wherever you wish… Condition is good with genuine historic wear but nothing nasty or off putting.
