A rare Cotswold school / Arts and Crafts chair Of unusually large proportions Made by a master craftsman Exposed tennons and wedges to the arms Well turned wood The rush is part of the overall design If this was circa 1900 I would say made by William Birch to a design by George Walton Estimated date .The last fifty years The wood is carefully chosen Probably Ash but does appear like Elm. This chair may have been made by Gordon Russell ltd .I will research this avenue .
