Description

A simple and elegant hand hammered piece of art metalwork by Hugh Wallis of Altrincham. Circa 1929. The inkwell is hand hammered / Planished and is decorated with punch marks and chevron marks to the whole Rim. Lift off top again with planished finish It is also engraved M.G.H 7th July 1929 to the body. The ceramic liner has a few chips to its rim but remains entirely functional and sits hidden by the Lid. Punch stamped Hw for Hugh Wallis to the base.
