Description
This is a high quality and decorative Arts & Crafts antique mahogany tub elbow chair with a very attractive turned and railed frame throughout. The tub chair has a padded back, which rests upon a central open work railing comprised of eleven ball and stick spindles. The simple curved arm rests are supplemented by two curved mid rails on either side of the chair. These then join to the beautifully turned front legs, which are in turn linked by a central stretcher with three bobbins. The front legs continue upwards to form finials that act as raised hand rests. The chair back and sprung seat are fully traditionally re-upholstered by The Sitting Place and finished in Khiva fabric (grass colourway) by Linwood and dark green braid and cord. Without a doubt this chair would make a striking desk chair, particularly if themed up with a desk in the similar period and style.
Music cabinet and accessories are for display purposes only.
