An extremely rare antique novelty solid silver and glass Preserve / Honey / Jam Pot by Asprey & Co, of simple Art Deco form, the lid having a patent automatic opening mechanism (by raising the swing handle the lid closes, by lowering the handle, either way, the lid opens). This mechanism was originally patented by Hukin and Heath. Included is a contemporary solid silver preserve spoon. Bearing full English hallmarks and makers Marks. The lid with a 'H' engraved in the centre probably for Honey.
