Description
This is a very rare antique barometer from Havana, Cuba with weather predictions on the card dial in Spanish including four historic dates of low pressure cyclones from October 1837 to September 1888. The working aneroid movement can be seen through the open dial. Above is a mercury thermometer reading in Centigrade & Fahrenheit against a porcelain face. There is a brass bezel with bevelled glass & original set hand & the case is in ebonized hardwood.
