This fine Georgian sterling silver mustard pot was made by Peter & Anne Bateman and clearly for London 1792. It is in very good condition and hallmarks are clearly struck on both base and lid. Navette shaped with a side handle and the lid is topped with an urn finial. The body has engraved decoration incorporating two cartouches one of which has a crest of an armoured fist holding a sword and the mustard stands firmly on 4 reeded legs.
