Beautiful Signed Tabriz Carpet

This is a beautiful antique Tarbriz carpet with a really attractive colour palette dating from around 1920. The carpet has an ivory field of meandering vines centred by a sky blue flowerhead medallion framed by terracotta borders of palmettes and meandering vines. This is in really great condition for its age. It has a good even pile and no wear. This is a finely hand woven carpet with a high knot count that gives wonderful fine detail to the design and is signed by the artisan in a woven cartouche to the border shown in the eighth photo. The carpet is a great room size measuring 310cm by 216cm.
