Beautiful Silk Tarbriz Rug Carpet

This is a very good quality silk Tarbriz carpet dating from around 1930. It has been finely but densely woven using the softest of silk wool. The carpet has a wonderfully detailed design and an exceptionally high knot count. It has a traditional and simple central medallion design and a colour palette which is very easy on the eye. The field is a lovely soft cinnamon shade and the borders are a warm coral, with detail in indigo and ivory. This is in excellent condition and feels beautifully soft to the touch.
