Description
John Beswick Ltd started making animal figures in 1934.
In 1939 Arthur Gredington became chief modeller and the horses and the farm and other animals and birds followed.
They always produced highly detailed accurate, quality figures and this one is no exception.
The company was sold to Royal Doulton in 1969 and all production ceased in 2002.
This one is the Dun Highland Pony "Makionneach" no 1644.
From the Mountain and Moorland Series.
Designed by Arthur Gredington and first made in 1961.
Lovely colours great quality.
