Description
John Beswick Ltd started making animal figures in 1934.
In 1939 Arthur Gredington became chief modeller and the horses and the farm and other animals and birds followed. They always produced highly detailed accurate, quality figures and this one is no exception. The company was sold to Royal Doulton in 1969 and all production ceased in 2002.
This one is Stocky Jogging Mare Palomino Third Version 855. Designed by Arthur Gredington and introduced in 1961. Beswick circle back stamp.
