Black Painted Pedestal Desk

This is a handsome antique reproduction pedestal desk which dates to the late 20th century. It is a useful and attractive piece which is well made from mahogany, mdf and mixed woods and has the benefit of splitting into three parts, making it easy to transport and position in any home. The desk is set on twin pedestals each housing spacious drawers which are finished with metal drop handles. The bottom right hand drawer is double height, designed for storing files. Above the pedestals are three further drawers which are lockable. I have hand painted the desk in my own mix of black water based paint before very lightly distressing the paintwork and then waxing the finish. The paintwork is solid colour and the finish is matt and smooth. Condition The desk is in solid structural condition with various minor cosmetic marks and dents here and there.
