Description
A glorious bobbin turned oak stool with a shamrock design cut in seat This acts as decoration and hand hold to pick up it is in good usable original condition re glued where necessary
There are two cracks in the top which have been profesionaly 're glued and as there is an original bracing piece to the underside of the seat it is still Structualy sound the seat is moulded and carved around the edge and the three bobbin turned legs are joined by turned stretchers with central turned finial
The shamrock suggests a Irish or ecclesiastical history
The top diameter is 12.5 inches and legs splat out to 17 inches diameter making it stable in use
