Heavy hallmarked solid silver one pint tankard or christening mug. Full Birmingham hallmark with the date letter for 1937 and the makers mark for William Neale, Warstone Street, Birmingham and reatiled by Carrington & Co of 130 Regent Street London, one of the top retailers of the period. Tapered body with a strap rim top and bottom and a good size C shaped handle. The silver weight is 276.4 grams very good weight for a tankard this size. Apologies for any reflections in the pictures, these are not marks in the silver. Retailers original box which is in very good condition. No engraving to any part of the mug. Stands 4 5/16 inches 11 cm tall, 3 3/8 inches 8.5 cm in diameter at the top rim and 5 3/16 inches 13.2 cm handle to rim.
