Description
Lovely Victorian hallmarked solid silver christening mug tankard. Full London hallmark with the date letter for 1899 and the makers mark for Boodle & Dunthorne of 13 Lord Road Liverpool. Not only a stunning mug to look at, it has great age and comes in it's original shaped and fitted box. The decoration is excellent, really clear and crisp engraving with a blank cartouche at the font. The silver weight is 243.3 grams, the weight you'd expect in a 1 pint tankard, really heavy for it's size. Apologies for any reflections in the pictures, these are not marks in the silver. No engraving to any part of the mug. Will be delivered in a tissue lined gift box. The perfect christening, 21st or silver wedding gift. We are able to arrange engraving for an additional cost, please contact us for details. The will be light surface engraving so that the impact to the item is minimal. Happy to answer any questions.
