Brass Four Glass French mantle clock which is in an elegant rectangular brass case with bevelled glass panels circa 1870. Unusual burgundy-coloured roman numerals with minute ring marked in black Arabic numerals and shaped blued steel hands on a white enamelled dial. Winding holes with brass collets. An 8-day duration movement striking the hours and half-hours on a coiled gong. Mercury compensated pendulum with Brocot suspension. Supplied with brass winding key. Excellent time-keeper.
