Description
Edwardian gents dress walking stick cane 1903. Hallmarked silver collar with a well figured partridge wood shaft. Has a pommel made of a polished obsidian sphere. Typical of gentleman's dress canes of in the Victorian and Edwardian times as well as canes used by undertakers of the same periods and earlier when dressed in full black. The silver was assayed in London with the date letter for 1903. The makers mark for Charles Cooke and retailers mark for the famous Brigg of London. The collar is shaped so the the sphere sits into it neatly. The shaft is partridge wood, very collectable and strong being a fibrous wood. The grain pattern is lovely but shown better in natural sun light than it does in the pictures. A strong shaft so will support a good weight. The ferrule is original and made of cast brass. Please contact us with any questions you may have.

measurements

It measures 91.5 cm 36 inches in length, the pommel is 4.5 cm 1 3/4 inches wide.
