Description
A fine burr walnut four drawer chest from the early 20th century. From the curved stretchered base with carved acanthus to the cabriole legs to the beautiful and elaborate apron, which is also evident to the sides, this piece has a strong Portuguese flavour to the design, combined with the best of English cabinet making. One of the drawers is lined in baize for the use of cutlery. Condition is very good and the chest is ready to use and admire.
