Carriage Clock with Original Travel Case

An elegant turn-of-the-century French brass carriage clock, dating from the late 19th Century. Housed in a classic polished brass case, the timepiece features five crisp, bevelled glass panels that beautifully showcase its mechanical movement. The pristine white enamel dial is detailed with black Roman numerals, a simple outer minute track, stamped discretely on the backplate with "MADE IN FRANCE". Adding significant historical appeal, the clock is accompanied by its original double-ended brass winding key and its authentic, velvet-lined wood-frame travel case. While the case exterior shows honest, age-related wear to its leather covering, it retains its original, fully functional slide-out front shutter panel and integrated corner key well, making it a wonderful, complete collector's set.
