Description
Primitive Tribal 'Dowry' Chest coming from Rajasthan Province in North India.
Incorporating inset panels with traditional carved motifs with a removable upper central panel shaped like a letterbox. The coffer has a top lid in 2 sections, the front lid with original wrought iron fastening chain.
Made of pine or similar wood local to the area. In reasonable/ good condition with various wear and imperfections from age and usage (one leg with some scratch marks made by our cat while we were using the chest at home).
