Description
Attractive Caughley barrel fluted teapot and hexagonal stand decorated by Chamberlain Worcester in the 'French Spring' pattern. The teapot has an ear shape handle and pretty moulded detail to the spout. The fluting to the body carries up over the shoulder and on to the lid which is fished with a slightly fluted knop. The teapot stand is also shaped with fluted sides and rim.
Both pieces painted with scattered cornflowers in blue and pink and with a repeating border of the same flowers in a garland around the rims of the stand, pot and lid. Gilded detailing to the spout, handle and knob and gilded bands to frame the borders and rims.
