Celtic Cross Silver Brooch - Hallmarked Glasgow 1947

Sterling silver round pierced Celtic Cross brooch, shield form, with a central boss, a running Celtic Knot design to the outer rim and a further Celtic Knot design to the cardinal points. A direct copy, possibly molded off an original, of a Alexander and Euphemia Ritchie design. Assayed and hallmarked in Glasgow in 1947, made by Henderson & Horner Brothers of Buchanan St. in Glasgow, also stamped "Made in Scotland" and a No. "2 "as a pattern number. 4.0cm or 1.75 inch across, cleaned but not polished and all is good.
