We have for sale a very attractive and rather unusual Pre-Raphaelite inspired Charles Horner Silver card tray.
This rather lovely oval art nouveau silver tray is decorated in repoussé with a Pre-Raphaelite scene depicting a seated damsel with flowers in her hair within an inner floral border surrounded by a rococo foliate outer border and a rope-like rim. Typical of the larger pieces of Charles Horner, the tray carries the small hallmarks and makers marks for Birmingham for 1901 and Charles Horner.
The tray weighs 69.9g according to our scales and is 5.6 inches (14.2cm) long and 4.4 inches (11.1cm) wide. The card tray is in a very good to excellent condition with only minimal rubbing to the Charles Horner mark and date letter.
