Charming 17th Century Period Oak Antique Coffer

This wonderful 17th century Period Oak Antique Coffer is of pegged construction and is simple and stylish in design with the most spectacular carved panels. It has a beautifully figured top and the interior still has the original candle box and oak base boards. The fronts has wonderful carved panels, moulded edges and it stands on raised feet. This splendid period chest is in wonderful condition considering that this antique is over three hundred years old. The oak has aged to a warm rich shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of oak furniture wax finishing.
