Lovely snake wood and hallmarked silver walking stick or cane. The silver was assayed in Chester as shown in the pictures, date letter for 1923 and makers mark for WH Carrington & Co. Lovely decoration to the silver collar with a presentation inscription to the cartouche. It says:- 'Presented to M Charlton by the officials and workmen of Messrs H Briggs & Son Co Ltd as a token of respect and esteem Sept 1928'. Henry Brigg & Sons was one of the largest coal mining companies in Yorkshire. The polished deer antler handle is set off by a beautiful snake wood shaft, the wood grain pattern is lovely. The ferrule is original and made of polished buffalo horn to compliment the snake wood. Please contact us with any questions you may have.
It measures 89 cm 35 inches in length, the handle is 11.5 cm 4 1/2 inches long.

It's in excellent condition but with some signs of age and use as you'd expect at this age. Some bumps, scratches and pitting to the silver as shown.
