Chinese Carved Teak & Camphor Kist

Carved Chinese teak and camphor wood lined kist, the rectangular kist with a finely carved floral border, the front with two carved recessed lifting handles and full-length piano hinge supporting the top, inside has a lift out tray and the original brass lock, the sides have two carved recessed lifting handles, the dovetails on the joints are visible on the fore-edges, the front is profusely carved with a village scene with trees and houses. The kist retains the original circular brass two-piece escutcheon with original brass lock and clasp.
