Chippendale Period Carved Mahogany Piecrust Tripod Table

An extremely rare Chippendale period carved mahogany piecrust tripod table, the circular top and piecrust edge carved out of one piece of solid mahogany, the birdcage support with four columns above a ring-turned baluster shaped column with carved leaf details, a concave socle above a pea and bean moulding, the whole raised on a tripod base with carved, clasped foliage details to the knees and carved foliage details to the feet.
