A terracotta vase with applied colour . Typical turquoise decoration used by Watcombe . Watcombe was set up in 1869 . Registered designs appear by 1871 . Dresser appears to have been involved and many of the items produced are often ascribed to C.Dresser . One can see the angled handle on this jug . The same handle is synonymous with Dressers other jug designs for other companies of the period . A second company called Torquay Terracotta Company started in 1875 .Again Dresser is attributed with the designs on some of the items produced . Both factories are sometimes difficult to distinguish apart . This is a simple but stylish vase . Some photos taken with the flash on . The base is unmarked . Top diameter is approx 83 mm . Base diameter is approx 108 mm . Main body is approx 130 mm diameter .
