Collection of 4 Poole Pottery Mice & 2 Dormice

The Collection includes: * Mouse sitting on an Apple * A Harvest Mouse on Corn * A Standing Mouse on his back Feet * A Mouse Crouching down * A Sleeping Dormouse Poole Pottery produced their stoneware animals from 1972 until 1999. Were lovingly designed by the much renowned Barbara Linley-Adams. Although they were initially created as gift ware, the quality of these Poole Pottery items has caused them to become much sought. Much of her work was inspired by her passion for wildlife; she was also on the executive committee of the Wildlife Artists' Association started by Sir Peter Scott. Barbara retired in 1983 but continued to produce sculptures for Poole pottery from her own Studio in Budleigh Salterton in Devon for another five years.
