Description

This is a small oak Art Deco stool by in the later Cotswold School tradition. Well made, possibly an apprentice piece. The level of construction is sound. The level of carving is of good quality. There were two prominent Cotswold school designer/craftsmen who did this type of carving but there is no evidence to suggest the stool is by either party. This is reflected in the asking price.

condition

The stool has now been professionally restored . One of the wooden items used to hold the frame to the top is also missing as shown in a photo. If restored the price will rise.
