Description
A good quality Cotswold School oak bookshelf.
Arts and Crafts.
This is following on from the earlier origins of the Cotswold School.
Again following on from the combination wardrobes made by students at Loughborough college under the tutorage of Peter Waals and Edward Barnsley.
There is an effort here to emulate the above.
Maker unidentified, possibly a former student later on in life or a skilled cabinet maker / carpenter.
This certainly looks the part but is not Peter Waals .

As per photos.
It's acceptable at present.
The previous owner put a few pins/or nails in the hold the backboard in.
One can see in 11th photo a tiny piece protruding. Hardly noticeable but has to be pointed out.
Top left looks like pitting in the oak.
Realistically the top could be planed or sanded to remove and then refinished to match.
The rest only needs a mild restoration and polish.
The holes where the tenons come through are not the best and these can be filled with a coloured polish/filler etc.
