Danish Vintage Rosewood Dining Table & Chairs by Johannes Andersen for Christian Linneberg
A stunning Danish vintage rosewood dining table and chairs by Johannes Andersen for Christian Linneberg. These were made in Denmark, they date from the 1960s.
The six chairs are the model 94 chairs, the quality is superb, they have a stylish and very elegant design. They are beautifully sculpted, with ribbon shaped back rests and tapered legs. The rosewood grain patterns and colour tones are gorgeous, these are spectacular looking chairs.
We have had the chairs fully stripped and re-polished to a very high standard, the condition is superb for their age. The black vinyl seats are in excellent order, with just one extremely small nick to the outer side of one seat, barely noticeable but seen in the images. One of the chairs appears to have been constructed with a knot in the frame of one side support under the seat. Therefore there is what appears to be a factory repair, with an additional support built and added to the inside of the frame, making it as strong as the other chairs.
The table is also of superb quality and is a great size. It extends to comfortably seat eight people, and could seat ten at a push. The leaves are completely flat and must be stored separately. There are built in supports that slide out from each end to hold the leaves in place.
We have had the table stripped and re-polished to a very high standard, the condition is also superb for its age.
The legs of the table unbolt and detach for ease of transport.
The wood is Santos rosewood, which does not require a CITES or article 10.
