Decorative Ebonised, Abalone & Gilt Chairs

A truly stunning pair of 19th century ebonised chairs with abalone and gilt detailing. These chairs are remarkable in their detail and condition. Originally these would have been bergère cane which has been changed to upholstery. The back of each chair has iron blacksmith strengthening mounts. These chairs are sound and stable and can still be used but they would be better suited for display and for their artistic merit being delicate by design. They certainly make a statement.
