Description
A pretty Worcester porcelain dessert serving dish of squared form with deeply lobed rim and fluted walls. Painted with arrangements of "spotted fruit"; apples, plums and a long, green fruit that looks very like a small gherkin type cucumber. Finished with a gilded rim. Unmarked, c.1775. Provenance: The Crane Collection.

The Fancy Fox has clarified that the Dr Wall First Period Worcester Porcelain Spotted Fruit Square Lobed Dessert Dish c.1775 (LA576384) is genuinely of the period declared with the date/period of manufacture being c.1775
condition
In excellent condition with no damage, repair or restoration and minimal handling wear. There are two sections of the rim with quite a high concentration of kiln dust spotting causing a surface roughness which the gilding doesn't sit over as neatly as it should. It is possible there has been minor refreshment of the gilt to help even it up but I can't be sure.
