The carving on this grandfather clock is incredible the geometric carved design continues all over the trunk and the bass along with the hood. The hood has a swan neck pediment top. This wonderful clock is very early the door has a working lock. The silver and brass dial with steel hands it also benefits from a date aperture the silver chapter ring is signed James Smith of Aspeden Circa 1720 a wonderful carved swan neck pediment top. The clock also benefits from its original weights and original locking trunk door for Clock also comes with purchase history given some interest in Providence This clock was sold in 1991 by Principia Antiques for £2000.00. Longcase clock measures 213cm high by 46cm wide by 25cm deep is 28 m in diameter Very good condition for age, showing slight signs or age please view the many photos make sure happy.
