Each handle measures approximately 35 cm long A stunning and quite possibly unique pair of impressive bronze door handles. Stylistically these look Indian and one can easily imagine them coming out of the Indian Raj and possibly some large Colonial house. Made of bronze, they are beautifully shaped and look like the trunk and head of an elephant. They are ebonised black and have gold sections and some traces of green. Beautifully designed and beautifully cast, I think it unlikely that I will ever find a similar pair of handles. No damage and no repairs but I have left the handles in their original condition. So there is some wear and scratches. These do not affect the overall appearance or shape but please be aware these are old and have been used for many years. Almost certainly early 20th century.
