ANTIQUE JEWELLERY, FURNITURE AND OBJECTS CURATED BY CONSERVATION AND GEMMOLOGY SPECIALISTS IN GUERNSEY AND LONDON After years immersed in the dynamic world of London’s antique scene, we felt a call to return to Guernsey, to a quieter, more reflective place where we could cultivate our own vision. Our approach is founded on a deep respect for the history and craftsmanship of each item we encounter, but also an understanding that the antique world must evolve to remain relevant in today’s ever-changing landscape. We are committed to bringing both knowledge and passion to every interaction, ensuring that our clients are as informed as they are inspired by the pieces they acquire. 'Terrou' is the Guernésiais word for 'Always' - a word which resonated strongly with us. We believe antiques should be both appreciated for their heritage and embraced for their ability to contribute to the beauty and functionality of modern life. Our collection represents not only the history of fine jewellery and furniture but also a bridge between past and present. We work with clients to help them see that antiques are not merely relics of the past but treasures that can compliment and enhance the spaces and lives of today. At the heart of our mission is the desire to make the antique world more accessible and approachable, while preserving the standards of knowledge, care, and expertise that have defined it for centuries. We invite you to explore our collection, where tradition meets innovation, and where every piece tells a story.

Description
There is a sculptural elegance to this antique sapphire & diamond navette ring. Its elongated silhouette, favoured from the late nineteenth century into the early twentieth, was designed to lengthen the hand and showcase the artistry of the jeweller. More than a century later, its proportions remain as compelling as ever, balancing refinement with quiet confidence. At its centre, five graduated natural sapphires form a rich ribbon of deep blue, framed by a glittering border of antique diamonds. The diamonds are a mixture of old mine cuts and rose cuts, their broad facets and open character producing the soft, lively scintillation that only hand cut stones possess. The contrast between the velvety blue sapphires and the antique diamonds creates a composition of remarkable depth and harmony. Mounted in substantial 9ct rose gold, the warmth of the setting beautifully complements the cool palette of the gemstones. Measuring approximately 24mm in length by 12.5mm in width, the navette has an elegant presence upon the hand while remaining balanced and comfortable to wear. Like many pieces that have been cherished across generations, this ring bears evidence of its long life. One sapphire and two diamonds have been replaced at some point during its history, thoughtful repairs that allowed the ring to continue to be worn and enjoyed rather than being consigned to a drawer. We see these restorations not as imperfections, but as part of the story of an object that has remained loved and valued for over a century. For centuries, sapphires have symbolised wisdom, truth and fidelity, while diamonds have represented endurance and strength. Together they have formed one of jewellery’s most enduring pairings, admired as much for their symbolism as for their timeless beauty. Elegant, romantic and unmistakably antique, this is a ring whose character has been shaped not only by the hands that made it, but also by those who chose to preserve it.
