An original early 20th century wooden shoe factory trolley, retaining four slatted storage shelves within a robust timber frame and mounted on its original castors.
Constructed for daily use within a busy factory, warehouse or retail stockroom, the trolley displays a wonderfully honest industrial character, with decades of wear to the timber, layers of original black paint and a richly developed patina acquired through years of practical use. The open slatted shelves provided ventilation while allowing footwear or components to be stored and transported efficiently throughout the workshop.
Raised on its original castors, the trolley remains a highly functional piece, while its simple, purposeful construction and authentic surface make it an exceptional decorative object for retail displays, interiors or industrial collections.
