Early Derby Porcelain Dolphin Ewer Cream Jug / Boat c.1760
A pretty 18th century Derby porcelain press moulded cream jug of "dolphin ewer" form. Nice, crisp shell moulding, shaped rim and double scrolled handle with kicked up thumb rest. Beautifully painted with sprays of garden flowers in lovely, bright enamels: orange red, turquoise, pink, purple, yellow, green and blue and finished with a red-brown rim. c.1760.

It measures 9.5cm (3 3/4") high to the handle, 11.5cm (4 1/2") spout to handle and 6.1cm (2 3/8") wide.

In excellent condition: there is a very small nibble to the foot rim but no other damage, repair or restoration. There is a very fine glaze line from firing around the foot, caused during manufacture. Very minor handling wear.
