Description
Early Georgian-style (c.1900) antique freestanding figured walnut writing desk. The rectangular top with crossbanding and a moulded edge and a tan leather surface over one long two deep frieze crossbanded drawers with cut fret brass handles and escutcheons and heavy solid mahogany drawer linings (sign of quality cabinetmaking) over a beaded apron. All supported on carved cabriole legs with acanthus carved knees and ball and claw feet.
