A very good early Victorian period mahogany pedestal desk by M Wilson of Great Queen Street, London. Of generous proportions and of excellent construction in solid mahogany with attractive mahogany veneers. The top inset with a sumptuous leather writing surface embellished with gilt tooling. With an arrangement of one long central drawer flanked by two sets of 4 graduating drawers. The central drawer stamped with the makers name and all drawer fronts surrounded in cock beading. This desk is finished to the rear so it could be free-standing with a room if desired. Sympathetically refinished in our workshops and now offered for sale in excellent condition, with a great colour and patina. Splits into 3 sections for ease of installation.
