A magnificent antique Edwardian Arts and Crafts oak desk chair or captains chair dating from circa 1910. With shaped arms and a central pierced back splat under a curved top rail, with a scalloped saddle seat and tapered legs united by cross stretchers. In a beautifully figured solid oak, very solid and sturdy, and actually quite comfortable it would make a very stylish desk chair. With monogram of “ER” stamped to back of seat rail. Construction/Wood: Oak Condition Report: Good colour and patina. Solid and sturdy. Wear and marks commensurate with age.
