Unusual hallmarked solid silver nurses belt buckle. Made by George Edwin Walton of Hatton Garden. Full Birmingham hallmark with the date letter for 1910. Super detail to the cast hand finished design that is then finished with engraved high lights. The two halves join to create a shield to the center. A couple of casting marks to the back but no damage or repairs. Good size so probably a senior nurse or matron. The silver weight is 30.7 grams, heavy for a nurses buckle. Will be delivered in a tissue lined gift box. Happy to answer any questions.
Measures 3 3/4 inches 9.5 cm wide and 2 5/8 inches 6.7 cm tall.
