Edwardian Mahogany Triple Wardrobe

A substantial and impressive Edwardian mahogany triple wardrobe of excellent scale and quality, offering outstanding storage and classic period style. Crafted in richly figured mahogany with warm colour throughout, the wardrobe is surmounted by a bold moulded cornice and fitted with two full-length doors flanking a central fixed bevel-edged mirror. The base is fitted with two generous drawers, retaining the original ring pull handles, providing additional practical storage. Internally, the left-hand section is arranged with a full hanging rail and eight perimeter hooks. The right-hand section also has a pull-out hanging rail and eight perimeter hooks, together with four later-added shelves for versatile storage of folded clothing and accessories. A solid and well-made piece, the wardrobe dismantles into five sections for transport: cornice top, mirrored centre panel, two wardrobe sections, and base drawer section. The previous owner has raised the wardrobe on a pine plinth fitted with castors. This could be removed if preferred, though it is useful for manoeuvrability. Condition is good usable antique order, with expected age-related marks, scuffs, and bumps. There is a repair to the right-hand return of the cornice, together with general wear consistent with age and use. There are also marks and fading to the left hand side return as shown in the photographs. These points are reflected in the character of the piece and do not detract from its sturdiness or practicality.
