This is a gorgeous condition oak cased clock dating from post 1942, the case having a side door and lower door with a turnkey lock. The 8 inch cream dial is inscribed B.R.(S), 12363 and the movement back plate is also stamped with the number 22270. Being of smaller proportions this is an increasingly rare piece and the case has a wonderful patina having been restored along with the wire-driven movement and dial. The superior case has brass screws to the sides and two lower brass stabilising brackets. All my clocks come with my two year guarantee as standard.
Clockwise has clarified that the Eight Day Fusee British Rail Railway Clock (LA354191) is genuinely of the period declared with the date/period of manufacture being 1942
Rather than trusting a courier of any sort I unreservedly recommend collection or I can deliver regionally/nationally. All antique clocks require delicate handling and specific setting up so it is far better for a dealer to meet a client and talk them through the process, or set the clock up for them, rather than leave the client struggling at the other end on their own.
