Elegant Antique Inlaid Sutherland Table

This elegant late 19th Century antique inlaid sutherland table / drop leaf table is made from mahogany and dates from the Edwardian period. It is of lovely small proportions with two drop leaves that have satinwood cross-banding along with boxwood and ebony string inlays. The centre has the most striking sun burst inlay section. The leaves on this beautiful small antique table are supported by two fine turned legs with the original brass castors. and side has beautifully turned upright supports along with splayed legs. The Mahogany has aged to a rich warm shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of furniture wax finishing.
